Frieza shot out a smallbeam of energy right past Vegeta's head.
'You missed youloser,' Vegeta said with a cocky grin.
'You weren't what Iwas aiming at,' Frieza replied. Suddenly all the warriors' facesfell except for Frieza. For there laid Dende pierced through theheart by Frieza's beam. 'There will be no more healing today.'
Gohan cringed tryinghard to restrain himself from charging Frieza. I need toconcentrate. Then maybe I'll be able to make him pay.
'You're nextFrieza,' Vegeta said as he charged at the lizard. The prince camearound with a right hook but Frieza raised his arm and blocked theblow with relative ease.
'Is that all you'vegot, Vegeta?' Frieza asked as he brought his tail around and hitVegeta upside the head sending the Prince of all Saiyan sprawling.
'Not hardly,'Vegeta said as he flipped and pushed off at Frieza. The flame-hairedwarrior connected full force with a kick to the tyrant's face. 'Now feel the power of a Super Saiyan. Gallic Gun HA!' Thepurple beam of energy shot at Frieza with incredible speed but Friezawas gone before it hit.
Frieza appeared behindVegeta and punched him in the back of the head before the Princecould even react. 'Super Saiyan huh? Don't make me laugh.'
'DIE!' Vegetashouted as he fired another blast at Frieza. The tyrant simplyfloated effortlessly out of the way. Vegeta fired blast after blastat the dictator but it was all futile. Frieza dodged every one ofthem with ease.
'Really Vegeta thisis pathetic. I'm barely using much more than 1 or maybe 2 percentof my power and you can't even keep up.
'Did he say 1 percentof his power?' Krillin stammered.
'Yeah,' Gohan said. 'This looks really bad. But look on the bright side. Maybe it's2 percent that would cut his max in half.'
'That would stillmake him fifty times more powerful than powerful than you,' Piccoloreminded the boy.

'Let's just hopeGoku gets here quickly,' Krillin said.
'Yeah it looks likewe'll need him,' Gohan said.
Back in the battleFrieza wrapped his tail around Vegeta and began strangling him. Theevil tyrant slammed the Saiyan into the ground over and over and thenheld him up to gloat. 'Not so tough now are we.'
'That's it I'mgoing in,' Gohan said stepping forward.
'No,' Piccolo said. 'You won't stand much of a chance. You'd just be throwingyour life away.'
'Vegeta will die if Idon't. I'm the only one who can save him right now.' Gohanleapt forward at the evil tyrant and in less then an second plantedhis fist right in Frieza's face.
Frieza stumbled back insurprise dropping the unconscious Vegeta. 'It's you again. Thistime I'll kill you for sure.'

Back at Frieza's shipa few lights blinked. I'm healed, Goku thought to himself. A ki blast later he was outside of the tank and quickly putting on anew gi. A few seconds later he was flying toward the battle. 'I'mcoming guys.'

Gohan jumped to theleft as Frieza's tail came at him. The young demi-Saiyan camearound with and hard kick to the tyrant's face causing him to goflying back. Gohan quickly shot several blasts at the tyrant beforehe could recover.
Frieza dodged to theleft and looked up just in time to see Gohan's fist coming right athis head. The blow connected full force and sent Frieza tumblingbackward. The evil alien stopped himself in midair and growled. 'I'm impressed that you could even keep up. Apparently you are amuch better warrior than Vegeta even at such a young age. But thatis why you have to die. I think I'm through with my warm-up.'
I can feel dad'ski coming and he's stronger than ever, Gohan thought. Ineed to stall a little longer. 'I think I could use a littlebit more warm-up if you don't mind,' he said.
'I think I'll killyou now,' Frieza said charging up a dearth beam on his finger.
'That's enough,'Goku said landing beside his son. 'I'll take it from here.'
'Stay out of this,'Frieza said. 'I'll kill you when I'm done with the boy.'
'No,' Goku saidgetting in a fighting stance. 'You'll face me first.'
'Kakarot,' Vegetasaid coming to for a moment. 'Defeat Frieza for me and for ourwhole race. He's the one that destroyed our home planet. Andworse yet he made me into what I was. I really had no choice but toobey his orders for all those years.'
'Would you shut upalready,' Frieza said firing his death beam through Vegeta'sheart mortally wounding the Saiyan Prince. 'There that'sbetter.'
'He couldn't evendefend himself,' Goku said in an angry voice. The Saiyan walkedover and blasted a hole in the ground and put Vegeta in it and threwsome dirt over him. After he was done he turned back to Frieza. 'Now, let's finish this.'
'Very well,' Friezasaid. 'If you want to die today monkey, it'll save me thetrouble of hunting you down. I don't know how two more monkeyssurvived without me knowing but I'll fix that error.'
Goku charged at theevil tyrant throwing a punch into Frieza's gut sending him flyingmomentarily back. The Saiyan was behind the lizard in and instantbringing both fists down on his head and sending him into the groundhard.
'Not bad,' Friezasaid floating out of his hole. 'I was expecting another push-overlike Vegeta, but you appear to be as strong as the boy. But you'restill no match for me.'
'We'll see,' Gokusaid once more charging at Frieza. This time his fist passed rightthrough the tyrant as Frieza appeared behind the Saiyan in an instantwith an attack of his own. Before he could connect Goku phased outof sight and appeared a second later and threw another punch atFrieza's head.
Frieza blocked the blowwith little trouble and threw a fist of his own at Goku. The twosuperpowers began to exchange blows at lightning speed.
'Amazing,' Krillinsaid. 'They're equally matched.'
'Yeah,' Gohan saidlanding beside Krillin and Piccolo. 'I think they're both justgetting warmed up.'
'What makes you saythat?' Krillin asked.
'Can't you feeltheir powers fluctuating like crazy,' Piccolo said. 'They'reboth raising their power as needed to keep ahead of attacks. If theywere maxed out they wouldn't be doing that.'
Goku grinned as hedodged another one of Frieza's punches. Despite all that was atstake in this fight he was having fun. The full-blooded Saiyanbrought his fist around at the tyrant but phased out of sight at thelast second. From up and behind Frieza, Goku could see the tyranttrying to find him. He must not be able to sense power levels,he thought. I can use this. Before Frieza could locate himGoku kicked him hard right in the head sending him flying into amountain.

The mountain crumbledunder the force of the impact but Frieza got up unharmed. 'I'mimpressed that you even managed to land a blow like that. But see ifyou can block this.' Frieza used his telekinesis and began tolevitate several large boulders. Suddenly he flung them all at Gokuat amazing speed.
The Saiyan warriorbegan to dodge all the stones with amazing speed. Finally Gokupushed off one of the larger stones and gathered some energy in hishands and fired it through the remaining boulders and at Frieza.
The explosion rockedthe tyrant but did no damage. 'Well,' Frieza said. 'I'mthrough playing around.' He fired a ball of energy at Goku whichengulfed the Saiyan and trapped him inside.
'What?' Goku said. 'I can't move.'
Frieza appeared behindhim and kicked the ball of energy hurting Goku in the process. Asplit second later he appeared in its path again and kicked it. Theugly tyrant began to play a nice game of kick Goku around. 'Whenthis ball hits anything but me it'll be bye-bye.' SuddenlyFrieza slammed the ball as hard as he could toward the ground andsimply watched.
The ball hit withamazing force creating a monster explosion that rocked the wholearea. 'Goku,' Krillin shouted from the sidelines.
'Well that's theend of that,' Frieza said.
'That was close,'Goku said from behind Frieza. 'I'll have to watch that trick.'
'What how?' Krillinasked.
'He outran theexplosion,' Piccolo replied.
Gohan just watched insilence staring at his father with a very intent expression on hisface.
'I'm impressed,'Frieza said. 'But I'm through going easy on you.'
'I'm throughwarming up too,' Goku said getting into a fighting stance andletting his power rise.
'Let's get startedthen,' Frieza replied also letting some of his power out.

True to the DBZ series, created by Akira Toriyama, the Legacy of Goku II follows events from the Trunks Saga until the completion of the Cell Games. After the death of Gohan, assassinated by Androids 17 & 18, Trunks has no other choice but to go back in time, 16 years ago, to change the course of history. You will begin to assume the role of young Gohan before taking control of Piccolo, Trunks, Vegeta and Goku himself.
